I've kept this page updated for Sin & Sanctuary events pretty faithfully, though recently I've admittedly gotten a bit lax, but almost all of the other nights now only seem to bother keeping a Facebook event page going ... seems to be the extent of the effort going into cross-promotion on the web or keeping multiple listings current. Shame, really.

Guess it's off topic, but anyways, I don't use FB much. So I have no idea how to find events there. I've been trying to find other places to get in the know about events, but haven't really found any.

Last.fm is the only good place, so far, where lots of things are collected. Apart from that the only real option is to know the bands and clubs you want to attend, and then keep constantly surfing around to their pages to see if something is going on.

Nope, no one has really. I hate to say it but I think Facebook groups really have finally killed off forums more like this. Which kinda sux, because FB can be easier to find stuff on, but on the other hand, it doesn't really have the community vibe in any of the groups or forums there really. You might get a group about a band or something seeing a lot of activity within it, but anything more like a general 'Vancouver Dark Scene' group never sees much interest, and it's a lot...

The video gets done as soon as we lock down where and when Sanctuary Halloween is gonna be next year. It's also in line after a few others in the works, most notably :

- next up, the Sanctuary 10 Year Anniversary video
- the Sin City 7 Year Anniversary video

Both due well before New Year's! We hope to have them both done in about a month.

Man, there are always so many amazing costumes at Sanctuary - I honestly think it's the spot with the greatest collection of and ability to appreciate them from any event of the Halloween weekend. The crowd level versus venue size is always great for actually having enough room to -see- everyone's costumes, since it's on the Sunday and not the premium Saturday of the Halloween weekend, and I swear it being on a Sunday means all the more motivated people come out versus the more...

awe thanks! it started with me going for a ghost in the shell type thing and started going awry when i noticed there were so many different versions to work from. Mostly, I just wanted the tubes. Tubes!!!! So hard to dance as I kept worrying about pieces falling off but I'll go for something more comfortable in the next year. Until then, more pseudo-costumes (steampunk! etc.) to come. Every day is Halloween.
