Nope, no one has really. I hate to say it but I think Facebook groups really have finally killed off forums more like this. Which kinda sux, because FB can be easier to find stuff on, but on the other hand, it doesn't really have the community vibe in any of the groups or forums there really. You might get a group about a band or something seeing a lot of activity within it, but anything more like a general 'Vancouver Dark Scene' group never sees much interest, and it's a lot more limited in terms of organising forums & threads, nesting images in posts and so on.

Most new nights and events that have started also only seem interested in promoting primarily though Facebook, and while it's a handy tool and the event page function is SUPER useful, all the events are in seperate listings and again, everything gets more seperated rather than more intermingled -- which in many ways is counter-productive to that whole 'scene unity' idea.

Meh, we'll see where things go!
